Nurses are currently facing the biggest healthcare challenge of their careers.

Nurses are always there to care for a stranger as if they were one of their own. Forsaking special moments with their own families to ensure that another families loved ones are being cared for. Self care has never been so important.

Compassion fatigue, Stress and Burnout are on the rise in healthcare workers. This is what has driven Elaina to launch Happy Nurse. To promote self care strategies to her fellow nurses and healthcare workers

Exhausting yet encouraging.


This can take a toll on our mental health, its easy for our mental health to start decline without us realising it.  Most of the time it creeps up on us slowly.  Recognising that things are starting to get on top of you is key.

Burnout in Nursing was at 40% in 2019. 

The WHO has declared Burnout as a workplace phenomenon and has classified stress as the health epidemic of the 21st century.

Stress and burnout have an impact on both your personal and professional life.

About Elaina

Elaina Mullery RN studied nursing at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. She spent the first ten years of her career in Scotland before moving to Perth, Australia in 2010. Her clinical experience has been across a variety of settings including Orthopaedic Trauma, Operating Room, Endoscopy, Recovery and Day Surgery. She currently works in PACU.
Elaina has first hand experience of stress and burnout. It was this experience which led her to develop a passion for personal development. She has a diploma in Mindfulness and Meditation, is a certified hypnotherapist and a certified NLP Practitioner.
